FAQs

Will I have access to Chartered Advice?

Chartered status is a recognisable benchmark of quality and good practice. The holder must be highly qualified and demonstrate a commitment to ethical working. All Hartley Ross clients have access to this level of advice should they need it.

What does being an independent firm mean for me as a client?

We are independent, whole-of-market financial planners. That’s because we’re not tied to any particular product or provider. This means our recommendations – which are always based on a comprehensive and fair analysis of the market – are always and only what we believe to be in your best interests.

Who owns Hartley Ross?

Hartley Ross is an independent company wholly owned by our advisers, and therefore we are not influenced by any big companies or banks. This offers you peace of mind that we only offer unbiased and reliable advice.

Are you an authorised company?

Yes, Hartley Ross Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Our FCA number is 924765. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulates financial services in the UK. You can check our authorisation and permitted activities on the Financial Services Register by clicking here or by contacting the FCA on 0800 111 6768.

Can I use Hartley Ross services remotely?

Absolutely. While we offer all clients a face to face service, we understand that many clients prefer to work remotely. So whether your preference is to meet at your home, your workplace, or simply online, then we are happy to accommodate.

Are you part of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme?

If you make a complaint and we are unable to meet our liabilities, you may be entitled to compensation from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
